West Ham United Foundation x R;pple Charity Football Tournament 2025

We're back! Join us for season two of the West Ham United Foundation x R;pple Cup.
We're excited to announce the second annual charity football tournament, supporting West Ham United Foundation and R;pple Suicide Prevention Charity, proudly sponsored by Shawbrook Bank and HTB.
Following the resounding success of last year’s inaugural event at the West Ham United Academy, this year promises to be even bigger and more impactful.
The tournament coincides with the official launch of The Foundry, West Ham United Foundation’s new Community Hub – seven years in the making and recently featured on Match of the Day.
Alice Hendy MBE, Founder and CEO of R;pple, said: "We’re absolutely thrilled to be joining forces with the West Ham Foundation once again for our second charity football tournament. Last year’s event was such a fantastic day, and this year we’re even more excited to welcome so many teams who have signed up to take part.
"This year, we're broadening our reach, welcoming new faces alongside familiar friends, and strengthening the vital message that every life matters. The enthusiasm and dedication of our teams, sponsors, and supporters remind me daily why our work in suicide prevention is so important.
"Together, we're creating a brighter future for those in need - one match, one conversation, and one life at a time. Thank you for continuing to be part of this journey with us."
The West Ham United Foundation reaches over 50,000 people of all ages and abilities each year, responding to need, providing unique opportunities and delivering tailored support across east London, Essex and areas internationally. Its focus on health and wellbeing ensures mental health support is integrated into all aspects of its work.
West Ham United Foundation CEO Joseph Lyons added: “The Foundation is deeply proud to stand alongside R;pple for a second year, raising awareness and vital support for mental health and suicide prevention. As an organisation embedded in its community, we feel strongly about the way in which football can connect in ways other things can’t, break down stigma and ensure people know that help is always available.
“We are pleased to be running the event shortly after World Suicide Prevention Day on 10 September and want this to reflect the need for ongoing conversations about wellbeing, so that no-one feels they have to face challenges alone.
“This tournament would not be possible without the commitment of our headline sponsors, Shawbrook Bank and HTB. In particular, we want to thank Shawbrook’s Relationship Director Mark Hedley, whose dedication and support have been instrumental in bringing this event together. We are incredibly grateful for the passion and energy he has invested in making sure this tournament continues to grow and make a real difference. It’s shaping up to be a brilliant day.”
Headline sponsors Shawbrook Bank and Hampshire Trust Bank also highlighted why supporting the tournament matters
“We are proud to support this important event and contribute to the vital work of R;pple Suicide Prevention and the West Ham Foundation. By harnessing the
power of football, we can collectively make a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
"At its core, this initiative is about saving lives and strengthening communities, and we are honoured to stand alongside R;pple and the West Ham Foundation in promoting mental health awareness and driving lasting, positive change”, said Mark Hedley, Relationship Director, Shawbrook Development Finance.
Alex Upton, Managing Director of Specialist Mortgages & Bridging Finance at Hampshire Trust Bank, added: “We’re proud to be supporting this year’s tournament alongside the West Ham United Foundation and R;pple Suicide Prevention Charity. Football has a unique way of bringing people together, and this event shows how the game can drive a positive impact far beyond the pitch.
”At HTB, we believe in the power of partnership and community, and we’re delighted to play a part in raising vital funds for mental health and suicide prevention.”
Whether you're a seasoned player or looking for a fun day out with colleagues, this is an event you won't want to miss with both a male and female tournament cup up for grabs.
With limited availability, sign up now to be part of this special day, helping to make a huge difference to two very important causes.
