CenaWow (Sean Green) Runs a Streaming Marathon in Support of Ripple Suicide Prevention

A SOLIHULL streamer will be heading online for 24-hours in aid of a suicide charity.

CenaWow (otherwise known as Sean Green) will be raising funds for Ripple, a mental health awareness platform dedicated to intercepting harmful content related to self-harm and suicide through innovative technology on August 2.

The streamers connection to Ripple involved an introduction through his work’s mental health wellbeing coach, where he fell in love with the work the charity took part in, after tragically losing his own father to suicide just a week before his 10th birthday.

Sean has set himself of raising £2,500 for the charity.

Sean previously completed two other fundraisers for the charity, raising nearly £5,000 for the platform, where he created challenges across the streams, including ‘Pounds 4 Press-ups’ and ‘Hot Wings Challenges’.

Ripple is available to download as a browser extension on desktops or laptops. Once installed, if a user searches harmful content online, they will first be guided through a filter of breathing exercises and then provided with a list of helplines, and mental health services that they can access and use immediately and in the longer term, accompanied with messages of hope and encouragement to help keep the person safe.
