R;pple Joins The Royal Foundation's National Suicide Prevention Network as Innovation Partner

This World Mental Health Day, The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales is launching a new National Suicide Prevention Network to unify life-saving work across the UK’s four nations.

R;pple Suicide Prevention Charity has been selected as one of the Foundation's Innovation Partners, joining pioneering organisations in creating a united movement for suicide prevention.

“I’m honoured that R;pple is among the Innovation Partners of the new National Suicide Prevention Network, - said Alice Hendy MBE, R;pple Founder and CEO.

“Working alongside The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales and leading organisations, we're building something transformative - a movement that ensures people can access help wherever they are, whenever they need it.

“Too many people reach crisis point because the support they so desperately need isn’t there when they search for harmful content online. The funding provided to us by The Royal Foundation will enable R;pple to expand our life-saving work and ensure more help and support are available when it’s needed most.”

A united approach to a complex challenge

Preventing suicide is a complex challenge, shaped by social, economic and personal factors, meaning there is no one-size-fits-all model of support.

Building on progress in the sector to date, the Network will focus on understanding the root causes of suicide, ensuring accessible support and strengthening collaboration to achieve the greatest possible impact. It will create the chance to share learning, build on each other’s expertise, and ensure effective help reaches more communities.
