What do you do as a day job?

I'm a videographer for Smiley Movement, a platform for change that encourages donations, volunteering, fundraising and awareness of charities. Our mission is to help the non-profit sector better connect and engage with the public and fulfil their mission.

What do you do for R;pple?

I run R;pple FC, a charity football team set up to raise awareness and funds for R;pple Suicide Prevention. We play matches in house and against other charities, giving an opportunity for our players to be active and part of a community, where they can feel safe to talk about any issues they may have.

Why is R;pple important to you?

R;pple is important to me because I've struggled with my mental health for over 10 years, I've had times where suicide has engulfed my thoughts and having a tool such as R;pple will make a huge positive impact for many people. Everybody deserves to have hope and encouragement that things will get better and for me, when at my darkest times, it's sometimes hard to realise the support you have around you. R;pple reminds you of that and gives you an opportunity to receive the help and support its users need.
